For couples who dream of a classic and timeless wedding, our “Traditional Wedding” package offers everything you need to create a beautiful and memorable ceremony. Whether you envision a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, we provide a personalized approach to ensure your special day is perfect from start to finish.
When you choose the “Traditional Wedding” package, you can expect:
Personalized Ceremony: A custom-crafted ceremony that reflects your love story, values, and traditions. We work closely with you to incorporate any religious, cultural, or familial elements that are important to you.
Comprehensive Planning: Detailed planning sessions to cover every aspect of the ceremony, from the processional to the recessional, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience.
Ceremony Script: A beautifully written ceremony script, with up to two rounds of revisions to ensure it matches your vision perfectly.
Vow Assistance: Guidance on writing personal vows, if desired, or the option to choose from a selection of traditional vows.
This package includes:
Initial consultation to understand your vision and preferences
A beautifully crafted ceremony script of your choosing, or a completely custom script unique to your special day
(Optional) Rehearsal coordination (typically the day before the wedding)
Travel to the wedding venue (additional travel fees may apply for distant locations - see current fee schedule on our pricing page)
On-the-day coordination to ensure everything runs smoothly
Signing and filing of the marriage license
Flexibility to include special rituals (e.g., unity candle, sand ceremony, etc.)

Religious Ceremonies: While we remain inclusive and welcoming of all religious affiliations and preferences, we are currently only able to accommodate religious themes of Protestant Christianity. I am happy to incorporate as much or as little religious content as you prefer, whether that's leading a congregation in prayer or reading and discussing scripture during your ceremony.
Cultural Ceremonies: Incorporate elements from your cultural heritage to make the ceremony truly unique and meaningful.
Bilingual Ceremonies: Unfortunately, we cannot perform bilingual ceremonies at this time. Please check back in the future as we welcome additional officiants to our team.
Unity Rituals: Options for special unity rituals such as lighting a unity candle, sand pouring, handfasting, or other symbolic acts that represent your union.

How It Works - Just a Few Simple Steps to "Married!"
Our most comprehensive coordination package included for your big day.

Apply for your marriage license.
Before we get to the big day, you’ll need to apply for your marriage license at least 3–6 weeks in advance. Requirements vary by county—like waiting periods, expiration dates, and witness rules—so we’ll help you research the details if needed. Don’t forget to bring valid photo IDs when you apply!

Schedule date and secure the venue.
Once you’ve chosen your wedding date, we’ll lock it in with a $100 non-refundable booking fee. Next, we’ll confirm the location and go over any venue-specific logistics like ceremony length, seating arrangements, or microphone setup. The remaining balance will be due no later than 1 week before the big day.

Personalize your ceremony.
Here’s where the magic happens! We’ll collaborate to build a ceremony that reflects your love story—selecting the style, tone, and any personal touches like special readings, unity rituals, or faith-based elements. We offer two optional in-person meetings and unlimited phone/email support to make sure everything feels just right.

Rehearse & Finalize the Details. (Optional)
If your ceremony includes a rehearsal, we’ll walk through the process step-by-step to ensure everyone knows their role. We’ll practice entrances, cues, and key moments so your big day feels seamless.
(Rehearsals held the same day as the ceremony are included; off-day rehearsals may incur an additional fee.)

Celebrate and Sign the License
When the big day arrives, I’ll get to the venue early to coordinate with vendors and finalize ceremony logistics. I’ll then guide you through a heartfelt, personalized ceremony, after which we’ll sign the marriage license to make it official.

License submitted to city records.
After the ceremony, I’ll personally handle submitting your signed license to the appropriate city or county office. You don’t need to worry about a thing—just enjoy married life while the paperwork is taken care of. Your marriage certificate will then be issued according to local guidelines.

What makes a traditional ceremony different from other packages?
Our Traditional Ceremony package offers a personalized, full-length ceremony designed for weddings with a more classic structure—think aisle walks, readings, unity rituals, and larger guest lists. Unlike the “I Do and Dash” or Adventure Elopement packages, this option provides more customization and a formal, venue-ready experience.
Do you write the ceremony for us?
Yes! We work together to craft a ceremony that reflects your story and values. You’ll have the opportunity to share meaningful details, select from various tone and style options, and choose any special elements you want to include—like a unity candle or family readings.
How long does the ceremony usually last?
Most traditional ceremonies last between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the elements you choose to include. We’ll go over the timing during the planning process to ensure everything flows smoothly.
Can we write our own vows?
Of course! While we provide sample vows if you need inspiration, many couples choose to write their own. We’ll offer guidance if needed and make sure they fit well within the overall ceremony structure.
Can we include religious elements in the ceremony?
Absolutely. We can incorporate prayers, scripture readings, and other religious elements if that’s meaningful to you. While my personal faith is Christian, I’m happy to honor and include elements from other traditions as well.
Are you ordained to perform marriages?
Yes, I am ordained through American Marriage Ministries (AMM), a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. I follow all legal requirements for officiating weddings and submitting marriage licenses. If needed, I’m happy to provide my ordination certification and a letter of good standing with the church upon request.
Will this marriage be legally recognized?
Yes! Once we sign the marriage license and I submit it to the county, your marriage will be legally recognized by the state. The process follows all applicable legal requirements to ensure full validity.
What do we need to bring to the ceremony?
You’ll need to bring:
• Your valid marriage license (issued by the city/county)
• Valid photo IDs for both partners
• Any rings or special items for rituals you’ve chosen
When should we apply for our marriage license?
We recommend applying 3–6 weeks before the wedding. Each county has different requirements, including waiting periods, expiration dates, and witness rules. If you need help figuring out your local requirements, we’re happy to assist.
Do we need witnesses?
It depends on the state and county where the marriage takes place. Some locations require one or two witnesses, while others don’t. If needed, we can provide witnesses for $25 each.
Can you officiate in military uniform?
Yes, but only for formal traditional ceremonies. While I don’t wear my uniform for “I Do and Dash” or Adventure Elopement packages, I’m happy to do so for more formal weddings—especially for fellow military couples. Just let me know when booking if this is something you’re interested in.
Can you help us with special ceremony rituals?
Definitely! We offer several traditional ceremony rituals like:
• Unity Candle
• Sand Ceremony
• Handfasting
• Cord of Three Strands
Each ritual can be added for $50 each. If you have a unique idea in mind, let us know!
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking your traditional ceremony at least 2–3 months in advance. This ensures we have enough time to personalize the script, schedule meetings, and coordinate with your venue.
Can we request a specific style or theme for the ceremony?
Yes! Whether you want a romantic, lighthearted, religious, or modern ceremony, we’ll work together to capture your desired tone. We’ll also help incorporate any cultural or family traditions that are important to you.
What if we need a rehearsal?
Rehearsals held on the same day as the ceremony are included in your package. If you’d prefer to schedule a separate rehearsal day, a $100 fee will apply.
How does payment work?
To secure your date, we require a $100 non-refundable booking fee. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the ceremony. We only accept online payments—no cash or checks.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel?
Things happen, we get it. The booking fee is non-refundable, but we will apply that payment to an alternative date if a reschedule is needed. If you need to reschedule your ceremony, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but rescheduling within 7 days of the event may result in a $75 rescheduling fee.
What if we want a location that requires travel?
We’re happy to travel to your chosen location! Travel within a 50-mile radius of Killeen/Fort Hood is included at no additional cost. For ceremonies beyond that distance, we charge a simple, flat fee:
• 50–100 miles: $50
• 100–200 miles: $100
• 200+ miles: Custom pricing based on location and logistics
We’ll confirm any travel fees during the booking process, so there are no surprises later.
What happens after the ceremony?
Once you’ve said your vows and signed the marriage license, I’ll handle submitting the paperwork to the appropriate city or county office. Your official marriage certificate will then be processed and mailed to you based on local guidelines.
Can we include family members or friends in the ceremony?
Absolutely! Whether you’d like a parent to read a passage, a friend to say a blessing, or children to be part of a unity ritual, we’re happy to incorporate meaningful roles for your loved ones. Just let us know during the planning process so we can seamlessly work it into the ceremony.

Policy & Considerations
Legal Considerations
As an ordained minister through American Marriage Ministries, I am able to solemnize marriages anywhere in the U.S. Officiant requirements may vary with state and local laws. We will conduct all the research and action necessary to make sure we're legally prepared to officiate your ceremony at no additional cost to you, of course. Keep in mind, officiant registration in certain locations may take some time, so the sooner we get started, the better if extra action is required in your county.
Depending on your location, witnesses may or may not be required to sign your marriage license (even for elopements). Again, we will conduct all necessary research to inform you of everything you need to consider prior to the event.
Preparation
Initial consultation is included in all packages to discuss the ceremony details and any specific requirements or preferences.
A draft of the ceremony will be provided for review and approval. This includes up to two rounds of revisions; additional revisions may incur a fee.
Rehearsal services are available at an additional fee and must be scheduled in advance.
At the Event
Couples will be responsible for providing the marriage license for signature at the time of their scheduled event. For information on getting your marriage license, please visit our page here.
Each individual will be required to bring a form of government issued photo identification (driver's license or passport) for verification purposes. A scanned photocopy of your identification will be kept in our records along with your signed contract. See our privacy policy for more information on this requirement.
At this time, we will not perform proxy marriages, regardless of state or local laws . Both individuals must be physically present in order to perform the ceremony. (Exceptions may apply for deployed military service members - please inquire if this applies to you.)
Travel & Accommodation
If your ceremony requires travel beyond 100 miles, additional travel expenses and potential accommodation costs will be assessed.
All travel beyond a 25 mile radius will accrue an additional fixed mileage fee (calculated by the shortest route in Google Maps, excluding tolls).
To get this out of the way, we do not expect an invitation to rehearsal dinners, receptions, or anything outside of the actual ceremony. If the couple insists on extending an invite, a "plus one" invitation would kindly be appreciated. We will comply with all R.S.V.P. timelines and costs as necessary.
