A little about me...

My name is Cody Holder—officiant, husband, father, and Army officer. My journey into officiating began in 2022 when a family member asked me to lead their wedding ceremony.

I’ll admit—I didn’t quite know what to expect at first. But from the moment I stood up there, guiding two people through one of life’s most cherished milestones, something clicked. I felt completely at home. It wasn’t just a ceremony; it was a celebration of faith, love, family, and the bonds that tie us together. I knew instantly that this was something I wanted to do for more couples—to craft beautiful, meaningful moments they’d remember forever.

And so started the idea behind BrightVow Ceremonies - establishing an entire business around this rewarding opportunity because I believe every love story deserves to be celebrated with authenticity, joy, and care.

My approach to weddings and marriage...

Marriage is one of life’s greatest blessings—a promise not only to your partner but also to the life you will build together. My view on marriage is deeply shaped by my parents and grandparents, whose love and commitment taught me the true meaning of partnership and faithfulness. As a Christian, I believe God calls us to cherish, honor, and uplift one another through every joy and challenge life brings.

I also bring the perspective of my own marriage of over 10 years—a relationship built on love, grace, and resilience. I know firsthand how beautiful it is to commit your life to someone else, to build a family together, and to choose each other every day. It’s this personal understanding of marriage’s joys and challenges that guides me in creating ceremonies that are heartfelt, meaningful, and deeply personal.

Whether you desire a traditional, religious ceremony or something non-religious but equally meaningful, my goal is always the same: to craft a ceremony that reflects your values, your journey, and your love.

Every ceremony I create is custom-crafted to celebrate your unique love story. As a military officer, I proudly offer military-friendly services, including the option for ceremonies in uniform. I bring professionalism, warmth, and experience to every wedding, ensuring the process is smooth and stress-free from start to finish. My goal is to make your wedding ceremony a reflection of you—whether it’s lighthearted and fun, deeply spiritual, or a beautiful blend of both.

I grew up in South Texas, so I know and love the charm of a good backyard wedding and the warmth of Southern hospitality. I'm an auto enthusiast who likes working on his car, and I enjoy building furniture and tackling unique and beautiful projects in our home. I’m a proud alumnus of Baylor University (Sic ’Em Bears!), which makes it extra special for me to serve couples here in Central Texas. When I’m not officiating weddings or serving in the Army, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors with my family or picking up my guitar to play a favorite song.
